Paris is France's capital city and is a major city in Europe. It is a global centre for art, fashion, food, wine and culture. Its 19th-century cityscape is criss-crossed by lovely boulevards and the River Seine.

• Melanie Laurent is a French actress, singer, pianist, screenwriter and director. She is recipient of two César Awards, an Étoiles d'or du cinéma français, and a Lumières Award.
